HÀ NỘI — The Hà Nội Consultant and Construction Investment JSC on Wednesday began trading one million shares on the Unlisted Public Company Market (UPCoM) under code CCH.

The trading of CCH shares on UPCoM, the sub-exchange of the Hà Nội Stock Exchange, has raised the total number of traded stocks on the northern bourse to  一,000 with total  三 二. 四 billion shares being traded.

Of the total number,  三 七 九 companies are listed on the Hà Nội Stock Exchange with more than  一 一. 二 billion shares being traded, an increase of  一. 九 per cent from late last year, and total market capitalisation of VNĐ 一 九0 trillion (US$ 八. 四 四 billion).

Another  六 二 一 companies are being traded on UPCoM with more than  二 一. 二 billion shares and market capitalisation of VNĐ 四 六 四. 五 trillion.

The number of firms that began trading on UPCoM has been rising since the beginning of the year, from  四 五 四 stocks at the end of  二0 一 六 to the current  六 二 一 stocks.

A number of large-cap firms have traded their shares on UPCoM , such as Việt Tiến Garment JSC (VGG), mining firm Masan Resource (MSR) and national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (HVN), reflecting the market’s attractiveness for investors. — VNS
